Rooted in love, grace, and radical inclusivity

About Eden Prairie United Methodist Church

Eden Prairie United Methodist Church is a vibrant and transformative faith community rooted in the love, grace and radical inclusivity of Jesus. At EPUMC you can bring your whole, authentic self – your questions, your baggage, your need for connection and healing – and journey with others to experience the boundless embrace of God’s love. We seek to be a beacon of love, compassion and justice radiating God’s grace to all.

Inclusive Community

We are passionately committed to inclusivity and the celebration of diversity that represents the many ways that we are made in God’s image. We actively work toward full inclusion of our LGBTQIA+ siblings. We seek to be in ministry with and for people of all abilities, including those who may be neurodivergent or physically limited. We advocate for justice.

Our Core Values

These core values shape how we live out our faith together at EPUMC:

Building Connection

Through a variety of experiences, we cultivate relationships of nurture, support and accountability for our life in faith, fostering an intentionally intergenerational community.

Relevant Faith

We endeavor to make the ancient writings and stories of the faith accessible and relevant to the contemporary human experience. Through worship and faith formation we help people hear and respond to the voice of God.

Feeding Neighbors

We engage with our neighbors through acts of service including providing fresh produce and food drives for PROP, supporting Every Meal’s school food backpack program, packing food at Feed My Starving Children and serving meals at Simpson Shelter.

Equipping Parents

We partner with parents in nurturing their children and youth in a progressive and inclusive faith that guides them to become faithful followers of Jesus.

Reconciling Inclusivity Statement

As a Reconciling congregation, Eden Prairie United Methodist Church has accepted and responded to Jesus’ challenge to love our neighbors. We will:

Pray and work for peace and justice.

  • Be a congregation that welcomes people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
  • Seek awareness of discrimination and unfairness in the world.
  • Educate ourselves and share in prayerful dialogue about social issues and solutions.
  • Offer opportunities to move beyond awareness and education into action.
